It’s time for another Friday Favorites where I’m sharing a few things I’ve been loving this week. From beauty finds and movies to cozy home comforts, these are the little things that made my week a little brighter.
Is it just me, or do Fridays just have a different feeling? By the time the weekend rolls around, I’m ready to slow down a little, catch up on things I’ve been putting off, and hopefully spend some time doing things I actually enjoy.
I thought it would be fun to start a weekly series where I share a few of my favorite things from the week. They won’t always be beauty products. Sometimes they’ll be movies, music, snacks, home finds, books, or just little things that made me smile.
So here are a few things I’ve been loving lately.
This Week’s Friday Favorites
My Current Lip Combo
I know I’ve talked about this one before, but I seriously can’t stop wearing it.
The MAC Nightmoth Lip Pencil paired with the new MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick in Flamingo has become my favorite combination this summer. I never would have thought those two shades belonged together, but somehow they create the prettiest bold pink lip.
Every time I wear it, I feel a little more confident, and that’s exactly what great makeup should do.
Going to the Movies Again
One thing I’ve really enjoyed lately is getting back into the habit of seeing movies in the theater.
Streaming is convenient, but there’s still something special about buying a bucket of popcorn, finding your seat, and watching a movie on the big screen.
Seeing Michael reminded me why I love going to the movies. It felt like an event instead of just another thing to watch while scrolling on my phone.
Fresh Flowers Around the House
This might sound simple, but picking up a small bouquet of flowers during my grocery shopping has become one of my favorite little habits.
They instantly make the kitchen or dining room feel brighter, and they always seem to put me in a better mood.
It’s such an inexpensive way to make home feel a little more welcoming.
My Favorite Summer Drink
Lately I’ve been making iced coffee at home instead of stopping for one every morning.
It’s saving me money, and honestly, I think I’ve finally figured out a combination that tastes just as good as my favorite coffee shop.
If you have a favorite iced coffee recipe, you’ll have to share it because I’m always looking for new ideas.
A Good Candle
I’m convinced a good candle can completely change the mood of a room.
Whether I’m cleaning the house, reading, or winding down in the evening, lighting a candle somehow makes everything feel a little cozier.
I don’t even need a special occasion anymore. If it’s been a long day, I’m lighting the candle.
Looking Forward to Masters of the Universe
I don’t usually count something I haven’t seen as a favorite, but I’m making an exception.
Growing up in the ’80s, He-Man and She-Ra were a huge part of my childhood. I watched the cartoons, loved the characters, and couldn’t wait for the next adventure.
I’m really excited to see how Masters of the Universe brings those memories to life for a new generation while giving longtime fans something to enjoy too.
Sometimes a little nostalgia is exactly what we need.
Finding Joy in the Little Things
One thing I’ve been trying to do lately is appreciate the little things instead of always waiting for big moments.
A great lipstick.
A good movie.
Fresh flowers.
Coffee on a quiet morning.
Those small moments really do add up, and I’ve realized they often end up being the best parts of my week.
