I feel like clutter has a way of sneaking up on you. One day everything seems relatively organized, and the next you’re opening a closet wondering how on earth all of this stuff got in there.
That was basically where I was with several spaces in our house.
I didn’t want to completely redo every closet or spend a fortune on complicated organization systems. I just wanted simple solutions that would make the spaces easier to use and, most importantly, easier to keep organized.
After trying a few different things, these are the closet and home organization products that have made the biggest difference for us.

Our medicine storage was one of those areas that desperately needed help.

Adding organizers made such a difference. Now everything has a place, it’s easier to see what we already have, and I’m much less likely to buy something we don’t need simply because I couldn’t find it.

I love acrylic organizers because you can actually see what’s inside them.
I’ve used them for smaller items that would otherwise disappear into drawers or end up scattered across shelves. They’re especially helpful for things I reach for regularly because everything stays visible and easy to grab.

Jewelry Cabinet
Jewelry is another category that can turn into a mess surprisingly quickly.
I wanted something that would keep everything together without taking up a bunch of drawer or counter space, and a jewelry cabinet ended up being a great solution.
Now necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and other pieces have their own place instead of getting tangled together or forgotten in different drawers.

Shoe Tower
Shoes were probably one of the biggest sources of closet clutter.
When they’re all sitting on the floor, it doesn’t take long for everything to start looking messy. A shoe tower gave us vertical storage and helped get everything up off the floor.
It’s also much easier to see the shoes we have instead of digging through a pile looking for a matching pair.
If you’re short on closet space, using vertical space wherever possible can make a surprisingly big difference.
What Made the Biggest Difference
The biggest thing I’ve learned about organization is that I don’t need an elaborate system.
I just need everything to have a place.
Bins contain the smaller things. Clear organizers make it easier to see what we have. The jewelry cabinet keeps accessories together, and the shoe tower makes better use of vertical space.
None of these changes were particularly complicated, but together they’ve made our closets and storage areas much easier to use.
And when a space is easy to use, I’m much more likely to actually keep it organized.
