Happy Makeup Monday!

I thought it would be fun to start a new weekly series where I share products I’ve been reaching for lately. Some of these are brand-new favorites, while others have been in my makeup bag for years. I’m not someone who buys every product that goes viral on TikTok, but I do love trying new things when they catch my eye.

These are the products I’ve genuinely been enjoying this summer, and a few of them have definitely earned a permanent spot in my routine.

1. MAC Nightmoth Lip Pencil

If you’ve read my recent post about my favorite MAC lip combo, then you already know how much I love this liner.

I always thought Nightmoth was a shade that only worked for dramatic fall makeup, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Paired with the right lipstick, it creates the prettiest ombré lip and instantly makes my lips look fuller.

It’s become one of those products I didn’t know I needed until I tried it.

2. MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick in Flamingo

This lipstick completely surprised me.

Bright pink isn’t usually my first choice, but Flamingo has been such a fun color for summer. It looks beautiful with Nightmoth but I’ve also worn it by itself when I wanted something bright and cheerful.

Sometimes it’s nice to step outside your comfort zone, and this lipstick reminded me of that.

3. Typology Tinted Skincare

I love makeup that still looks and feels like skin, and Typology’s tinted skincare has become one of my favorites for exactly that reason.

It gives me just enough coverage to even things out without feeling heavy or overly made up. I especially love it on days when I want my skin to look fresh and put together without wearing a full face of foundation.

It’s easy, natural-looking, and perfect for those lighter makeup days during the summer.

4. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Blush

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Blush has become one of those products I reach for when I want my makeup to look fresh and natural without putting in a ton of effort.

I love the soft wash of color it gives my cheeks, and it’s easy to build depending on how much color I want that day. It blends beautifully and gives my skin that finished, put-together look without feeling heavy.

It’s especially pretty in the summer when I want my makeup to look effortless and glowy.

5. Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation

On days when I want more coverage, I reach for Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation.

It gives me the fuller coverage I’m looking for while still leaving my skin with a natural, glowy finish instead of looking heavy or cakey. I love that I can get that more polished, full-face look while my skin still looks like skin.

It’s my go-to when I want a little more coverage and a more finished makeup look.

6. MACStack Elevated Mascara

Mascara is probably the one makeup product I rarely leave the house without, and MACStack Elevated Mascara has become a favorite.

I love the definition and volume it gives my lashes without making them look heavy or overly clumpy. It helps open up my eyes and gives me that finished look even on days when I’m keeping the rest of my makeup pretty simple.

It’s an easy everyday mascara that can also be built up when I want a little more drama.

7. Tarte Glow Wardrobe

When I want a simple, glowy makeup look instead of a traditional blush, I reach for the Tarte Glow Wardrobe.

I love how it adds warmth and dimension to my face while giving my skin that healthy, luminous finish. It’s perfect for days when I want my makeup to look fresh and effortless without adding a lot of extra products.

A little goes a long way, and it gives me that easy summer glow without looking overly made up.

8. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

If I’m taking the time to do my eye makeup, I definitely want it to stay put.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion has become a go-to for helping my eyeshadow last throughout the day without creasing or fading. It creates a smooth base for my shadow and helps the colors look more polished once everything is applied.

It’s one of those extra steps that only takes a few seconds but makes a noticeable difference in how my eye makeup wears.

9. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray

Once my makeup is finished, I want it to stay that way, and Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray has become one of my favorites for keeping everything in place.

I love how lightweight it feels and how it helps my makeup last without leaving my skin feeling dry or overly matte. A few sprays pull everything together and leave my makeup looking fresh and polished.

It’s the perfect finishing step, especially on days when I need my makeup to last for hours.

10. A Good Sunscreen

This one isn’t technically makeup, but I couldn’t leave it off the list.

If there’s one beauty product I never skip during the summer, it’s sunscreen. Protecting your skin is one of the best things you can do, and it also helps your makeup apply more smoothly.

Whether you prefer a mineral sunscreen or a lightweight chemical formula, wearing SPF every day is a habit your future self will thank you for.

Final Thoughts

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that you don’t need a drawer full of expensive products to create a makeup look you love. Some of my favorite products are affordable drugstore finds, while others are little splurges that have been worth every penny.

The best makeup is the makeup that makes you feel confident.

I’m excited to make Makeup Monday a regular feature here on Pretty Current because I love sharing the products I’m actually using—not just the ones everyone is talking about online.

I’d love to hear from you! What’s one beauty product you can’t stop reaching for this summer? Let me know in the comments because I’m always looking for something new to try.
